Global Lifting Services Ltd. was established in September 1997. Through a programme of acquisitions and mergers our company has grown quickly to the point where it can not only provide our clients with a far wider range of services than our competitors, but it has also brought together a management team with over one hundred years combined experience in the Lifting Equipment Industry.
Global Lifting Services is at the forefront of the lifting equipment industry in the UK and throughout the world. Our headquarters are based in Aberdeen Scotland where we have a fully equipped workshop and testing facility. In support of our worldwide operations, we also have facilities in Trinidad, Nigeria and Cairo / Egypt. We employ over fifty personnel between these locations ranging from, Sales and Administration Staff to qualified Test Engineers and time served Ships Riggers.
Quality Management: Global Lifting operates a quality management system which has been approved by LRQA to BS EN ISO 9002 and First Point, which covers a range of lifting services including inspection, maintenance, test and manufacture.
Company Philosophy: Our philosophy has always been to operate a very flat management structure using only fully qualified personnel each capable of fast and effective decision making. This structure has led to an excellent customer satisfaction record, with Global having the reputation of providing a very rapid and effective service response. This has resulted in a sound financial position, which has allowed us to pursue a policy of continual reinvestment in plant and machinery and to develop and grow our services worldwide
